Withholding action needed

Increase Iowa withholding by $71 for each remaining paycheck.

Illustrative member experience. Not a live tax calculation.

One employer sees one paycheck.

TradeTax Passport sees the whole household.

The problem hiding in plain sight

Tax withholding was built for a job that stays put.

Your members don’t. A new contractor, shutdown, traveling assignment or spouse’s raise can change the household tax result instantly. Payroll systems never assemble the complete picture.

01

Multiple employers

Each payroll department withholds as though it is the worker’s only job.

02

Cross-state work

Resident, nonresident and local taxes can collide across a single project.

03

Overtime swings

Big weeks change annual income faster than a static W-4 can keep up.

04

Seasonal layoffs

Unemployment and ended jobs disappear from the next employer’s view.

A tax dashboard members can understand

Know what happens next—before the next paycheck.

Members add a paystub whenever work changes. TradeTax Passport updates the household forecast and translates the result into one specific action.

Questions union leaders ask

Built to earn trust.

Does this replace a tax professional?+

No. TradeTax Passport provides projections, organization and withholding guidance throughout the year. Members can still use the tax professional of their choice.

Will the pilot store tax returns or Social Security numbers?+

No. The validation pilot will not request Social Security numbers or complete tax returns. Any future document capability will launch only with appropriate security controls.

Is the union responsible for a member’s tax result?+

No. The program is structured as an independent member benefit. Individual calculations and professional services remain between the member and the provider.

Can the experience carry our union’s branding?+

Yes. Participating unions receive a co-branded enrollment experience, launch materials and a member-specific webpage.

What does it cost?+

Founding-pilot pricing depends on covered membership and program scope. The goal is to keep the institutional price low enough to offer it broadly, rather than only to members who can afford private planning.
